Honored Sir I humbly pr[e]sent my service vnto you: I hope you will mind your pr[o]mise which you made to me at Tavistock when you were At the priuie sessions which was yt you would Augment my pensionabl pay Truly Sir I am a very Aged man and not Abell to get Any thing by my calling as formerly I haue done for I am 87 yeares of age and haue great weaknes in all my limbs and all my sences are decayed it is well knowne I was a faith soulder in our maiesties fathers vnhapy war from the begining to the end of which our hundred Constabell the bearer of thes lines Can inform your Worship and the Rest of the honerable Bench pray sir Consider of my low Condition and do for me as your worship shall judge Fit And I shall pray for your hapines in this Life and Eternall happines in the Life to com: and Remaine your humbell servant
