The petition of Dorothy Tyrer of Aughton, Lancashire, Midsummer 1673

The humble Pet[iti]on of Dorothy Tyrer widow, relict of [illegible] Will[ia]m Tyrer late of Aughton husbandman deceased
Sheweth
That yo[u]r Pet[itione]rs said husband dyed about sixe monethes agoe leaueing yo[u]r Pet[itione]r & Fiue small children,
That yo[u]r Pet[itione]rs said husband had Ord[e]r from this ho[noura]ble Court for an Alloweance as a maimed Souldier, but dyed without receaueing any the part thereof,
That dureing his life by his honest Endeauors hee maintained yo[u]r Pet[itione]r & his said Children, But yo[u]r Pet[itione]r is vtterly vnable to maintaine or prouide for them
She therefore humbly prayes That yo[u]r good wor[shi]ps will giue Ord[e]r for Releife of yo[u]r said Pet[itione]r & her said Children according to their necessityes
And yo[u]r Pet[itione]r (as in duty bound) will eu[e]r pray &c
Ou[ersee]r to give her a compe[te]nt all[owance]
