To the right wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of the Peace at the Quarter Sessions holden at Manchest[e]r.

The Petic[i]on of Dorothie Greene of Worsley widow

Humbly sheweth that yo[u]r poor Petic[i]on[e]r hath beene 4 times at the Open Sessions at Manchest[e]r and Once at a privey Sessions at Bolton for the Obtayning of house-Roome for hir selfe & her poore weake Child a Daughter about Eleven yeares old, & Not able to goe abroad to beg for her living & was borne in Worsley & her late Husband John Greene was a souldier for Worsley vnder the Command of Colonell Egerton for the Service of the Parliam[en]t, & in that service by reason of some afflection & Imprisonment dyed;

May it therefore please yo[u]r good wor[shi]ps to take yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]rs Condition into serious Considerac[i]on & to Graunt that she & her daughter who were both borne in Worsley May haue then some place of habitac[i]on & dwelling;

And yo[u]r Petic[i]on[e]r (as in duty bound) shall euer pray for yo[u]r health & happines long to Continue
