The petition of Davie ap Robert of Llannefydd, Denbighshire, 6 October 1668

To the right Wor[shi]pp[ful]: Justices of the peace sittinge in open quarter Sessions for the County of Denbigh:

The humble petic[i]on of Davie ap Robert of the p[ar]ish of Llanvfydd in the said County an indigent souldier aged eightie twoe yeares or thereabouts

Sheweth that yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner did faythfully serue his late Ma[jes]tie of blessed memorie, in the late Warres vnder the Com[m]and of Capt[ain] John Williams in the regiment of Col[one]l Hugh Wynn and now beinge visited with pou[er]tie by reason of his greate age and sufferings in the said late Warres:

Most humblie prayeth yo[u]r Worr[shi]pps to comiserate his sad condic[i]on and to Order him such quarterlie penc[i]on as to yo[u]r Worr[shi]pps shall seeme meete and yo[u]r petic[i]oner as in duty bound shall eu[er] pray:

I doe Certifie the trueth of this petition
