The petition of Daniell White of Sidbury, Devon, 14 July 1674

To the hon[ou]r[a]ble Bench Att a generall sessions of ye peace p[er] the County Devon [sic.] held at ye Castle of Exon ye 14th of July 1674
The humble petition of Daniell White of Sidbury in the County aforesaid husbandman:
Most Humbly sheweth that your poore petiti[one]r beinge an Antient Maimed Soldyer in ye seruice of Kinge Charles the first of euer Blesed memory for w[hi]ch he hath beene Allowed, by this Hon[ou]r[a]ble Bench a pention of three pounds per Ann[um] for seuerall yeares together. but since reduced to forty shillings p[er] Ann[um] And in the last duch warr to twenty shillings p[er] Annu[m] your poore petit[ione]r beinge now Aged aboue Eightye yeares: And in great weaknes of Body Most humblye desireth for his pr[e]sent and futuer beter subsistance: you will be pleasd to Order him his said former pention: And your poore petit[ione]r shall as he is bound in dutye ever to pray for your hon[ou]rs helth & p[ro]speritye
