To all his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace within the County afores[ai]d to whome these pr[e]sents shall come
The Humble Petition of Daniell Foord of the p[ar]ish of Broadclist in the County of Devon aforesaid; being now Releived by the said p[ar]ish; and being very poore.
Humbly Sheweth
That yo[u]r poore petic[i]oner having formerly been a Souldjer vnder the Com[m]and of S[i]r Richard Chamlyn, his Collonell; and having Received seu[er]all Hurts, By reason of which; (and his old Age) he is not able to Support and Maintaine himselfe; doth therefore humbly request and desire, That yo[u]r Worships will be pleased to grant him Some of his Ma[jes]ties Money allowed for Maimed Souldjers; which if yo[u]r Worships please to grant Y[ou]r poore Petic[i]oner, shall, (as in duty bound)

Wee whose Names are herevnder Subscribed, (being Inhabitants of the s[ai]d p[ar]ish of Broadclist, do desire that the aboues[ai]d Petic[i]oner may have some yearely pay; as yo[u]r Worships shall think fitt:
