The petition of Creseus Blencow of Farthinghoe, Northamptonshire, October 1683

To the Right Wor[shi]p[fu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace for the said County.
The petic[i]on of Creseus Blencow of Farthingoe in the said County.
Sheweth
That whereas yo[u]r said petic[i]oner served his most sacred Ma[jes]tie King Charles the First vnder the Comand of Captaine Clerke in the Ridgement of the Right hono[ura]ble the late Earle of North[amp]ton: and in recompense of his said seruice hath formerly bene allowed the yearely penc[i]on of Three pounds: And by reason of yo[u]r said peticoners age and charge of Children he is brought to poverty: Hee therefore humbly beggs yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps order for such penc[i]on as shal be by yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps that fitt: And shall ever pray &c

A Penc[i]on of 40 s. p[er] ann[um] Allowed him & the first paym[en]t to begin this Sessions.
