The humble petic[i]on of George Scale Coronett, and Richard Smith Quarter M[aste]r of Dragoones.

Sheweth.

That your poore petic[i]oners being souldiers in the Regement of Maior Generall Holborne, and under the com[m]and of Maior Smith were com[m]anded out uppon a party the 23d of Aprill under the com[m]and of Leiut[enant] Generall Crumwell, under whose com[m]and your peticoners were both wounded at the assault of Farrington ye 30th of Aprill, in which time the Army being mustered the 25th day your peticoners being absent were disannulled of their muster: whereupon they receiued noe pay.

May it therefore please this Wors[hipfu]ll Com[m]ittee to take into Considerations this your wounded petic[i]oners request, and withall to condescend for to haue theire pay due whereby they may bee recruited for the seruice which they haue formerly undertaken.

And your petic[i]oners shall euer pray &cet.

Rec[eive]d then of S[i]r John Wollaston K[nigh]t and the rest of the trea[sure]rs at warr from the hands of Francis Allein and John Dethicke Esq[ui]res two of the said Tre[asure]rs according to an order of the Com[mi]ttee for the Army; and by virtue of a warr[an]t vnder the hands of S[i]r Thomas Fairfax dat[ed] 4o Aprill by me Georg Scale cornet of Dragoons to maior Smith in Maior Gen[er]all Holborne regim[en]t and me Richard Smith Quarterm[aste]r to the said regim[en]t dismist according to order of Parliam[en]t; for fourteene days pay the sume of fiue pounds sixteene shillings & eight pence, we say rec[eive]d. } v li. xvi s. viii. d.
