The petition of Christopher Pickering of Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire, 7 January 1673

To the Right worshipfull the Justices of the peace for the County of North[amp]ton[shire] at the Quarter Sessions of the peace holden at Kettering the 7th day of January 1672.
The Petic[i]on of Christopher Pickering of Titchmarsh in ye said County Esq[ui]r[e].
Sheweth
That yo[u]r Petic[i]oner through many unhappy misfortunes hath his estate seized on & sequestred from him, occasioned by his being a soldier in the late Kings Army; w[hi]ch hath reduced him to very pressing necessityes, from w[hi]ch he is no wayes able to free himselfe. And therefore praies this hon[oura]ble bench that they will grant him a supply of mony, Either by way of Penc[i]on or other wise as to them shall seeme meete, for his present releife [illegible].
For w[hi]ch he shall ever pray &c.
