The petition of Captain Thomas Stayner, Plymouth Regiment, undated

To the Right Hon[ou]r[a]ble ye Com[m]ittee for ye Accompts of the Com[m]on Wealth.

The humble petic[i]on of Capt[ain] Tho[mas] Stayner

Sheweth.

That hee hath faithfully served the State as L[ieutenan]t & Capt[ain] of Horse in the Plymouth Reg[imen]t and in the same quallityes in other services for the space of foure yeres; in w[hi]ch he lost the vse of his Limbs whereby he is disabled in his former Callinge and hath much due in arreare for his s[ai]d services, and at pr[esen]t is destitute of subsistance haveing a Charge to maintayne.

In tender considerac[i]on of his faithfull services & in relac[i]on to his pr[esen]t Condic[i]on Hee humbly prayes That hee may be imployed by this Hon[ou]r[a]ble Com[m]ittee as a Messenger or otherwise; as in yo[u]r wisdomes & according to his deservings and abillity shal bee thought meet.

And yo[u]r pet[itione]r shall ever pray &c.
