The petition of Captain Thomas Pennefather, John Butler’s Regiment, 27 February 1649

<Petic[i]on of Captaine Pennefather for his brothers arrears.>
<dyeing in ye service &c.>
To ye Right hono[ura]ble ye Com[m]ittee for ye Army.
The humble petic[i]on of Capt[ain] Tho[mas] Pennefath[er] Adm[inistrato]r to Abraham Pennefather dec[ease]d
Sheweth
Yo[u]r pet[itione]rs brother hath faithfully serued ye State as Troop[er] in my Troope in Col[one]l Hortons Regim[en]t in ye Army of his Ex[cellen]cie the Lord Fairfax from the sixth of Nouemb[e]r 1646 till the 20th of January last 1647 whoe by wounds he rec[eive]d in the seruice dyed as by Certificate vnder the hand of ye said Capt[ain] appeareth.
Yo[u]r pet[itione]rs brother haueing some small arreares due to him for his seruice, beseecheth yo[u]r Hono[u]rs to order the stateing of his accompts & paym[en]t of his arreares to yo[u]r pet[itione]r.
And he shall pray &c.
State & pay.
Att ye Com[m]ittee of Lords & Com[m]ons for the Army: 27o Feb[ruary] 1648.
Ordered
That ye Com[missa]ry Gen[era]ll of ye Musters or his Deputy doe forthwith certify this Com[m]ittee how ye pet[itione]rs brother (whoe dyed in the seruice of ye state) stood vpon the seu[er]all Musters of ye Army & doe affix the same to this petic[i]on.
