To the Right Hon[oura]ble his Ma[jes]t[y]s Justices of the peace att their quarter Sessions assembled

The humble petic[i]on of Capt[ain] Arthur Ward

<Sheweth>

That your petic[i]oner actually served in his late Ma[jes]t[y]s service of eu[er] blessed memory in all his Nine yeares Warrs & that hee hath totally lost the vse of his right hand and p[ar]t of his left in the sayd service seu[er]all times taken prisoner, Banished never forfeited his Loyalty and now in his old Age is reduced to great Peniury well knowne to some of your Wor[shi]pps.

The pr[e]misses considered yo[u]r petic[i]oner Humbly prayes that hee may bee admitted one of his Ma[jes]t[y]s penc[i]oners within this County for his future releife & your petic[i]oner will eu[er] pray &c
