The petition of Anne Still of Warminster, Wiltshire, Trinity 1657

To the right wor[shipfu]ll the Justices of the peace att this Sessions assembled
The humble petic[i]on of Anne Still of Warminster widowe
Humblye sheweth that yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband Thomas Sill had a penc[i]on of Fower pounds p[er] annum allowed vnto him as by the order heerevnto annexed appeareth, and that yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband died att o[u]r Lady day last & thereabouts & left yo[u]r petic[i]oner two smale children w[hi]ch yo[u]r petic[i]oner is not able to breede vp by her labo[u]r vnles yo[u]r wor[shi]pps wil be pleased to be favorable vnto her
May it therefore please yo[u]r wor[shi]pps to take into yo[u]r [illegible] considerac[i]ons yo[u]r petic[i]oners meane & miserable condic[i]on & graunt vnto her the same allowance as you were pleased to graunt her husband for the releiffe of her & her children out of the south part of the County or some other releiffe and yo[u]r petic[i]oner shal be ever bound to pray for yo[u]r wor[shi]pps health & happynes
We whose names are subscribed Inhabitants of Warminster doe knowe the content of this petic[i]on to be true & doe desire yo[u]r wor[shi]pps favo[u]r heerein for this petic[i]oners releiffe
