That yo[u]r petic[i]oner is a very poore woman an ancient & lame in so much that she is dicabled to labour for her livelihood as formerly, yo[u]r petic[i]oners husband was one of the Traine of Artiliry for his Ma[jes]tie (of blessed memory) who deceased three yeares past & left yo[u]r petic[i]oner a great charge who never (as yet) troubled the parish for any thing being now reduced to exceeding great poverty & in all probability like to p[er]ish.
Most humbly requests yo[u]r wor[shi]ps favour that yo[u]r wor[shi]ps will be pleased to grant an order whereby yo[u]r petic[i]oner may receive some weekly allowance from the parish towards the maintainance of yo[u]r petic[i]oner & her Children & she with them (as in duty bound) will pray &c.
