The petition of Anne Day, Hertfordshire, 1667

The humble petition of Anne Day widd[ow] to the right worshipfull S[i]r John Watts one of his Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace for the county of Hertf[ord]

Sheweth

That your petitioners husband was a souldier & had a pension of 4 li. per ann[um] but her husband dyed between Michaelmas & Christmas & had not received the pension for that quarter,

Wherfore your poor petitioner humbly craves that your worship would please to let her have that quarters pension as hath bin granted to other poor widdowes

& your petitioner shall ever pray &c.
