The Humble Petic[i]on of Anne Britton of Wootton in ye County of North[amp]ton[shire], Widdow
Humbly Shewinge
To yo[u]r Good Woor[shi]pps that yo[u]r poor Petic[i]oner is a very poore Woman and in Great Necessity by reason of the losse of her two Sonnes in ye late most unCivil Warr in England, w[hi]ch might have binne a Great Releife and Comfort to her now in her old Weeke and distressed Condic[i]on, by reason of w[hi]ch it was Ordered by the Right Woor[shipfu]ll ye Justices of Peace at a Generall Sessiones yt yo[u]r poore Petitconer should have a penc[i]on allowed
May it therefore please yo[u]r Good Wor[shi]pps to Order yt yo[u]r poore Peticoner may have the said Pe[n]c[i]on Continued, now in her old age to preserve her from perishinge
