To the Right worshipp[fu]ll his Ma[jes]ties Justices of peace and Quor[um] att the Gen[er]all Sessions of peace holden at Lanc[aster] for the County Palatine of Lanc[aste]r
The humble petic[i]on of Ann Wilkinson of Caton widdow a very poore woman
Sheweth
That whereas your petic[i]on[e]r[s] husband was one of the maymed souldiers allowed by Act of Parliam[en]t and had the penticon [sic.] of tenn shillings & some tyme xiii s. iiii d. yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r[s] husband by the lords Providence was lost & his sonne in the last Great waters therefore yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r humbly prayes that she as a poore widdow may be Admited into the list of poore widdowes & haue such allowance as you in yo[u]r wisdome thinke most fitt yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r hath a Charge of Children and is very poore
May it therefore please yo[u]r good worships to Consider of the pr[e]misses whereby she yo[u]r petic[i]on[e]r may be releived & shee in duty bound will ever pray &c
