The petition of Ann Falconer of Warmingham, Cheshire, Easter 1651

To the right hon[oura]ble the deputy lieftenants & other the keepers of the peace their assistants assembled at Middlewich for the holding of the Quarter Sessions for this Countye.
The petic[i]on of Ann Falconer of Weu[er]ha[m] within this Countye widowe
Sheweth to yo[u]r honors that yo[u]r petic[ioner] hauing liued in good fame & reputac[i]on without being chargeable to any till yo[u]r petic[ioners] husband through misinformac[i]on was com[m]itted to prison vpon susp[i]c[i]on of felony whereof hee was noe wayes guiltye about which yo[u]r petic[ioner’s] husband expended the greatest parte of his meanes. And since went into Scotland in the p[ar]liament seruice where hee was slayne leaveing yo[u]r petic[ioner] neyther house nor meanes soe that yo[u]r petic[ioner] is likely to perishe for lacke of releefe vnles yo[u]r hono[u]rs favors bee shewed to yo[u]r petic[ioner] herein.
May it therefore please yo[u]r honors to order for yo[u]r petic[ioner] releefe & succour which way to yo[u]r honors shall seme meete & convenyent. And yo[u]r petic[ioner] as in duty bound shall pray for yo[u]r hono[ur]s health & happye estate in this life & eternall happiness in the life to come.
