To the Worshipfull His Ma[jes]ties Justices of the peace and Quor[um] for the County of Lancaster
The Humble Petition of Alice Bradshawe of Pendleton widdowe
Humbly sheweth
That your poore peti[ti]oner being Fourscore Age yeares of Age and very decrepite by reason of Sicknesse wherewith she hath bene visited this Four yeares past is att pr[e]sent in great distresse for want of Maintenance for although shee haue two Daughters who: haue hitherto being beene helpfull to her yet they are not able to kepe themselues and her The one of them being blind and the other sore Troubled w[i]th the Kings euill Your Petitioner Therefore Humbly prayeth That being in the Condic[i]on shee is in and a destitute widdowe Her Husband being killed in the Kings seruice to Take the pr[e]missses into your worsh[i]ps seriouse Considerac[i]on And to order the Ouerseers of the Poore of Pendleton to allowe her a Competent allowance That Soe shee may not starue & yo[u]r petic[i]oner as bounden will euer Pray for yo[u]r worships healths.
