To the right worshipfull the Justices of the peace att the gen[er]all sessions holden att Lynn the day & yeare afores[ai]d
The humble petic[i]on of the Inh[ab]itants of the Towne of Denver afores[ai]d
Sheweth that about fow[e]r yeares sithence one Henry Johnson was pressed for a souldier att Tottenhill, but Tottenhill Constables haueinge noe neede of him, received sixteene shillinges of Will[ia]m Foster, who was then pressed for Denver that he might goe in his stead & there vpon Denver Constable was contente he should bee booked for Denver which was accordingly done & this Johnson went for a souldier and beinge afterward Founde vagrant and sicke was sent from Stanford the place of his birth to Tottenhill aforesaid to be there kept; and vpon the informac[i]on onely of Tottenhill men att the last quart[e]r Sessions he was ordered to be sent to Denver afores[ai]d & to bee there p[ro]vided for till further order which hath beene accordingely done att the chardge of fiue shillings p[er] weeke ever sithence the last Sessions & now the said Johnson is very well & able to worke wee therefore humblie craue that wee may receive some reasonable satisfacc[i]on for the aforesaid charge & bee from henceforth clearely discharged of him & wee shall eu[er] pray &c
