The petition against Francis Calverley of Holborn, Middlesex, 1672

The humble petic[i]on of John Smith
Sheweth
That one Francis Calverley of the p[ar]ish of St Giles in the feilds in the County of Midd[lese]x Scriuon[e]r is a pention[e]r in this County of Hartford and is also a pention[e]r in the County of Surey and in seauerall other Countys as yo[u]r pet[i]t[ione]r plainly cann make appeare And that the said Calverley was a pention[e]r in the time of Olliuer and did receaue two seuerall pentions one at Ely house in Holborne and the other at Exon in the County of Deuon shire all which yo[u]r pe[i]t[ione]r is reddy to make appeare befor[e] this Hono[u]rable Bench
Your pet[i]t[ione]r Humbly prayeth That yo[u]r wor[shi]pps will bee pleased to take the pr[e]mises into yo[u]r serious Considerations And to doe with the said Calverley as in yo[u]r Graue wisdoms shall thinke most meete.
