‘It is ordered that Zacharyh Browse and Ruth his wife, late the wife of Jeremyah Pond who was most cruelly and unjustly put to death by the command of Sir Lewys Dyve and his goods taken away, shall hold and enjoy one peece of grounde called Sarjants Mead, parte of the Erle of Bristoll’s sequestered estate lyeinge neere Castle Towne, Sherbourne … for one whole yeare from the 25th day of March next insueing, towards the releife of them and their children being now in great wante and necessitie’.
