Reported that Parker had been a soldier in for parliament, in whose service he was maimed, 'and by reason of his wounds received, he is rendered unable to Followe his Calling as heretofore, whereby he is reduced to great necessity and want', and is not able to pay for treatment he has received for a surgeon. The gratuity was order to cover the surgeon's costs.
