Upon the petition of Will[ia]m Wilson setting forth that he was a soldier in his late Majesty’s service under the command of Captain Byard for the space of three years, that he supplied his own arms and horse and that he received several wounds, Wilson was recommended to the next General Sessions to be held at Pontefract to be admitted to the pension of John Pilkington of the wapentake of Staincliffe and Ewecrosse, deceased. Wilson’s petition was attested to by four of the JPs in Staincliffe and Ewecrosse.
