'Whereas this court did heretofore graunt a pencion of fortie shillings yearely unto William Watts of Blandford Forum, carpenter, lately deceased, And whereas a certificate under the hands of William Thomas, Esquire, one of his majesties Justices of the Peace for this county and William Wake, Bayliffe of the said towne of Blandford & others, hath byn presented unto this court, That Elizabeth Watts the relict of the said William by reason of his death, together with fower small children are fallen into extreame poverty, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for the westerne parte of the county doe pay unto the said Elizabeth Watts the quarterly payment being ten shillings which had bin due to him the said William Watts in case he had lived till midsummer day last past & the same shall be allowed on the account of the said Treasurer.'
