"Whereas William Tanner of Crediton being imployed in the service of the State was wounded in the said service and by means thereof is become soe weake that he cann not longer subsist without some reliefe. It is therefore ordered yt the Treasurer … doe forthwith pay him 20 s., And upon his procuring a certificate from his Captain under whome he served yt he was wounded as aforesaid he is to be farther considered."
