          ‘Whereas William Sprague of Shute a maymed souldier was formerly allowed a pencion of £3 per annum and upon a review was reduced to 30 s., but forasmuch as it appeareth unto this Court that the [said] Sprague is become very weake & impotent, This Court doth therefore order the Treasurer … to pay unto him his said former pencion of £3 till further order the first payment to be made this present Sessions.’
