Senex was injured in Parliament's service whilst serving at the Siege of Bristol in 1645. He petitioned alongside several other maimed soldiers from the county, who were referred to the Treasurer to 'afforde them reasonable releife such as he in his discrecion upon exminacion of theire severall, & respective cases, and Condicions shall thinke fitt’.
