Item 100 in the rolls, Taunton 1656: 'The Peticion of William Roger a maymed souldier who was prest a souldier into Ireland hee being prest from the Tything of Belinton in the hundred of Kaynesham & maymed in one of his handes; [to] be referred to Richard Jones & Robert Longe Esquires, two of the Justices of the Peace … who are desired to examine the truth of the said peticion, whereuppon this Court will make an order for the reliefe of the said Roger if there shalbe cause.’
