When Sir Edward Hungerford bore arms for Parliament, he took up arms under him at Devizes and was later reduced under Colonel Ludlow at Wardour Castle, where he was blown up and maimed with powder. He was a dragooner, and has lost the use of his left arm, had the toes of his left foot broken and also his left leg.
