‘Upon the reading of the petic[i]on of William Morland setting forth thereby that he hath beene A true and faithfull Subject to his late Ma[jes]tie and did voluntarily take upp Armes in his said Maj[es]ties behalf and listed himselfe under the Com[m]and of Colonell Kirkbride and thereby rec[eive]d many sad and dangerous wounds whereby he is totally disabled. It is therefore ordered that he be admitted A penconer at the first vacancy not Exceedinge forty shillings.’
