‘Whereas William How of Okeford hath a pencion of Twenty shillings per annum allowed him as a maymed souldier & being now of the age of eighty yeares & vpwards & growne very infirme by reason of his wounds received in the service of our late soueraigne Lord Kinge Charles the first It is ordered that hee have Thirty shillings per annum added to his said former pencion in all fifty shillings per annum to be paid vnto him by the Treasurer for the maymed souldiers of this County by quarterly payments till further order.’
