f.22: Ordered by the Earl of Essex that £5 12 s. be paid for 28 days' pay, by way of imprest to be defalked from his arrears, to William Heydon, lieutenant of foot in Essex's own regiment, who was very desperately wounded by the enemy at Fowey in Cornwall, of which he has long been sick and has not yet recovered. He was also plundered of his apparel and necessaries and is now in much want.
