‘Vpon the humble petition of William Efford of Stoke Gabriel in this County a Soldier maimed in his late Majesties Service This Courte doth thinke fitt & order that the Treasurer for the maimed Soldiers of this County doe henceforth pay vnto the said William Efford a pencion of Thirty Shillings per annum by quarterly payments vntill further orders & Tenne Shillings in hand.’
