‘Upon consideration had of the humble Peticon of William Draper and George Kingerley, Two mayhemed souldiers of the Burrough of Warwick Shewing That they were mayhemed in the Com[m]onwealths service in thelate wars And therefore humbly desired that they might have Pensions granted to them from the Justices of the Peace for this County. The Court takeing the same in consideracon, (and considering how many mayhemed & weake p[er]sons there are whoe have served the Com[m]onwealth in the said County of Warwick, and yett want Pensions by reason there is not money in the Trea[sure]r’s hands, nor can they releive the Peticoners whoe ought to bee p[ro]vided for by the Justices of the Burrough of Warwick) doth therefore Recom[m]end the said Condicon of the said Will[iam] Draper & George Kingerley to the said Justices for the Burrough of Warwicke in order to their releife As the Court of sessions in the said Burrough shall appoynte.’
