‘Whereas this Court is informed that Lewes Thomas of Southtawton a maymed souldier is dead since the last Sessions, and one William Crossman of the same parrish hath been att some charge in releiving the said Lewes Thomas in his sickness, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe pay unto the said William Crossman 7 s. 6 d. which would have been due unto the said Thomas … for his quarterly pention att Christmas last.’
