Unfoliated: 'Whereas Willm Crosby a maymed soldier lately belong[ing to] his Maties Garrison at Tangier was by passe under the [hand] and seale of the Right hoble Geo Duke of Albermarle sent to his native Country to bee releeved and for asmuchas this Court is informed that the said Crosby was borne in Whiston yt is therefore ordered by this Court that the said Crosby shall bee settled in Whiston and that the Overseers of the poore of Whiston shall forthwth upon notice hereof pvide a convenient place of habitacon for the said Crosby to live and inhabite in wthin Whiston aforesaid And this Court doth intreat Sr Roger Bradshawe knt and James Fford gent Maior of the Burrowe of … to call the treasurer of the Maymed sldiers wthin the hundred of Derby before then and take his accompts and to allowe unto the said Crosby such pencon out of the moneys remaineing in his hands (if any bee) as they shall thinke fitt.'
