Upon a certificate made on behalf of William Ascham of Ledston, soldier for his late majesty under the command of the right worshipful Colonel Fardinando Lee ‘and did upon the raiseing of that Regim[en]t carry in horse and armes at his owne p[ro]per charge and did very good service soe longe as the sayd Regim[en]t stood’, it was ordered that Ascham be entered in the pension roll at the next General Sessions at Pontefract in the room of Henry Duffin of Ledston.
