"Forasmuch as John Shakell of Cotley, a Maymed Souldier, is lately dead before the 25 of March last, It is ordered that Mr Anthony the Treasurer shall pay his wife the summe of Twenty shillings for the last Quarter in regard of her great poverty notwithstanding the death of her husband before the Quarter."
