f.43: Order to pay arrears due to Thomas Basely, late cornet in Captain Lloyd's troop in Colonel Fleetwood's regiment, who was slain fighting against the enemy at the siege of Colchester, to his widow, Mrs Thomasin Basely. His account is in arrears for 15 musters as corporal covering 392 days at 2 s. per day, totalling £49, minus deductions of £19 12 s., leaving £29 8 s. due; and for two musters as cornet covering 58 days at 10 s. per day, totalling £29, minus deductions of £9 13 s. 4 d., leaving £19 6 s. 8 d. owing; and for a further 73 days at 8 s. 8 d. per day totalling £31 12 s. 8 d., minus deductions of £10 10 s. 10¾ d., leaving £21 1 s. 9¼ d. owing. Overall, the arrears due are £69 16 s. 5¼ d. Tamsen Baseley acknowledges receipt of £69 16 s. 5¼ d. on 28 May 1649.
