‘Whereas it appeares to this court that severall pencions have beene formerly granted unto severall persons within the West parte of the … county that are of ability to mayneteyne themselves, as namely unto Thomas Lidbiter of Washington and others, and that severall indigent and well deserving persons who stand in greate neede thereof have noe pentions as yet granted to them'. It was ordered that Libiter be discharged from his pension of 40 s. per annum, which was divided equally between Richard Mill of Fernhurst and Robert Mitchell of Eastbourne.
