‘Whereas one Thomas Cowley was formerly allowed for sev[era]ll yeares a penc[i]on from this County and upon his removeall out of the County was w[i]thdrawne and at this Sessions he has by his Petic[i]on shewed to this Court that he is blind & lame & has little or nothing to support him And therefore prayed to be restored to his Penc[i]on as formerly which this Court would not consent to in respect of his non resideing in the County. But in regard he was anciently a Penc[i]oner hath thought fit to allow him Fourty shillings for his present relieiff.’ He was also allowed 2 s. 6 d. to pay the clerk of the peace for a copy of this order.
