"Whereas it appeareth … that Alexander Richards of Uffculme was a wounded souldier in the service of the common wealth who had a pention [and] is lately dead & left a wife with fower small children in a sad & deplorable condicion, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe forthwith pay unto Sydwell Richards wife of the said Alexander Tenn shillings for her reliefe besides the Arreares due her husband."
