f.283-285 & 290: On 28 February 1646 it is stated that there is due to Captain Conyers Cooper, of Colonel Walter Long's troop, as captain lieutenant from 31 March to 1 September 1643, being 153 days at 8 s. per day for his personal pay and 10 s. per day for his 4 horses, and as captain from 1 September to 14 December 1643, being 105 days at 24 s. per day for his personal pay and 15 s. per day for his 6 horses, a total of £342 9s., of which £199 19 s. is said to have been paid. This is signed by Sara Conyer. A note below states that the first demand as lieutenant is not to be meddled with, and nothing is acknowledged to have been received for the other, and now Commissary Dudeney has certified that £332 12 s. 9 d. has been paid. Commissary Dudeney previously stated that £130 19 s. had been paid on Captain Cooper's account between 4 August 1643 and 3 February 1644, the last payment being £40 to Sarah Cooper. Her petition is referred to the Committee of Accounts for the Kingdom.
