'Upon the certificate of William Bale esq., that Roger Reynolds of the burrough of Leicester in this county Butcher was a Trooper in his owne troope of horse under the right honourable the Lord of Loughborowes command in the service of Kinge Charles the First of blessed memory In w[hi]ch service he hath been wounded & hath continued ever faithfull & loyall and is growne aged and infirme and not able to maintaine himselfe. It is ordered by this court that the treasurer for maimed souldiers for the tyme beinge for this County of Leic[este]r shall pay unto the said Roger Reynolds the yearly pencon of Forty shillings by equall porcons quarterly The first payment to begin when & soe soon as the treasurer for maimed souldiers for this County shall have money in his hand to Satisfye and discharge the same And to continue until further order to the contrary'.
