"Whereas it appeareth … yt Robert Richardson of Honiton was wounded in the service of the Common wealth under the command of Captain Margery by a shott which he received from the Enemy in his Arme whereby he hath lost the use of his Arme, And having a wife and six small children is not any way able to relieve them but are likely to perish, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer … doe from henceforth pay into the said Robert Richardson forty shillings yearly wherof 10 s. in hand untill further order."
