‘Upon a peticon pr[e]ferred to this Court by Robert Meane of Bundegay shewinge his brother in Law John Hey of Earsham a Souldior had a quarterly penson of fifteene shillings duringe his life who is now deade, And that he kept & maintayned the sayd John Jay a long tyme in his sicknesse And was at the charge of his buriall which did cost him forty shillings or their abouts, And praied this Court to be allowed Somethinge towards his Charges, which this Court held fitt. And ordered that Thirty shillings be paid him by the Treasurers of the maimed soldiers towards his said Charge & expence.’
