The wapentake of Pickering Lythe was to pay Gray 20s for his maintenance from 27 April 1647 but they had neglected to do so. It was therefore ordered that the treasurer for lame soldiers pay Gray his arrears [presumably 20s plus one quarter of 5s] and for the future 20s per year as a pension, and to enter his name with the rest of the pensioned soldiers.
