‘Whereas Robert Gray, a late pensioner in this County lately dyed in Drayton, and was soe very poore that the towne was forced to releeue him in his sickenesse and was att the sole Charge of buryeinge him w[hi]ch cost ym aboue 30 s. and thereupon the inhabitants of ye said towne petic[i]oned this Co[u]rt to be allowed this quarters penc[i]on w[hi]ch comes to 30 s. towards theire Charges as aforesaid This Co[u]rt doth order yt bye Treasurers for ye maimed souldiours doe pay unto W[ilia]m Hony ye ou[er]seer of ye poore of Drayton aforesaid who disbursed most of ye Charges aforesaid twenty shillings towards ye Charges aforesaid.’
