fol. 38: ‘Forasmuch as this Co[u]rt {illegible} as well by the Informac[i]on of George Russell as by the Confession of Robert Forreigne who is now a penc[i]oner and hath had a penc[i]on of Three pounds p[er] ann[um] as a maymed Souldier of this County, that hee the said Robert Forreigne never served his Ma[jes]ty in England and alsoe that hee by a pr[e]tended Order from his Royall highness the Duke of yorke fraudulently received from the Chest at Chatham the penc[i]on of one William Turlong al[ia]s Furlong who died about Twelue yeares since. It is Therefore Ordered by this Co[u]rt That the said penc[i]on of Three pounds p[er] ann[um] formerly granted and allowed to the said Robert Forreigne as a maymed Souldier of this County bee and it is hereby wholely Revoked and made void, And that Robert Hampton, gent[leman] now Tre[asure]r for the maimed Souldiers w[i]thin the hundreds of Elthorne Spelthorne and Isleworth in this County doe vppon doe vppon notice hereof henceforth forbeare to pay the said penc[i]on of Three pounds p[er] ann[um] or any part thereof to the said Robert Forreigne, and enter a short note of this Revocac[i]on of his said penc[i]om ag[ains]t his name in the said Tre[asure]rs Booke of the names of the said Maymed Souldiers And it is hereby further Ordered That the said Mr Hampton doe vppon the receipt of this Order, give and pay vnto the said George Russell the sum[m]e of Forty shillings (out of such moneys as remayne in his hands and have beene collected for the Reliefe of poore & mayned Souldiers) as a favourable Recompense for his good service by his Informac[i]on & discovery of the Vndeserveings and frauds of the said Robert Forreigne’.
